I want to share a few words from Michel Feher, a French researcher who works on the French far-right's political tactics to reach the working class
because clearly the American republicans are doing the same thing and the democratic party gets it completely wrong.

"What the far-right says is: “If you put us in charge we’ll get rid of the parasites that are not like you.
Everything will be better because we’ll be between us and you won’t have to change anything.”
There are no “I’m not fascist I’m just angry”.
Don’t even go there.
As soon as there’s a division of society between wealth producers against parasites and a legitimization of the racialization of those so-called parasites you’re helping the far-right."

"The left won’t attack the working class.
They think they have to show empathy.
That if you insist they’ll understand their anger is misplaced, that the real enemy is the banker, not the immigrant.
It. Doesn’t. Work.
You have to accept that a good part of this electorate is fascist.
Far-right voters are very clear about their intention.
It’s not a protest vote. It’s a support vote.
And as long as the Left refuses to accept this reality they’ll keep digging their tomb."

"You’re not born fascist, you become one. And you don’t necessarily stay one forever.
But you can’t stop someone from being a fascist by showing empathy or endless understanding.
You don’t convert them to beat them. You have to beat them first to convert them.
They’ll stop being fascists once they’re defeated."
